Field Plans

McKegney Green, created in 1977 is 40 years old.  Representatives of the Tiburon Peninsula Soccer Club have been meeting with the Tiburon Town Council, outside consultants and interested parties since Spring 2015 to discuss the condition of the field and a potential project to update it.  In Spring 2017, the Town Council approved a sand based sports field at a cost of $1.8 million, contingent upon $400,000 being raised by private users.  TPSC has offered to help organize this effort as we will be using the field approximately 445 hours a year once competed.  McKegney is a town resource and scheduled field use is also shared with the Southern Marin Lacrosse Club.
